Student support - November 2007
Peter was forced into ill health retirement from his bank lending manager job eight years ago with a rare genetic disorder which meant that he needed regular hospital visits to keep his condition under control. Sadly, Peter’s wife was also ill and with two children at secondary school and they faced a big strain on their limited income. The Fund was able to contribute towards the costs of keeping two teenagers at school where Victoria did particularly well and with our help has been able to realise her dream to go to university. The Fund will continue to support Victoria with a student grant of £1,000 per annum as she works hard to fulfil her ultimate ambition of becoming a teacher.
